Professional Bio
Johnny Hamilton started with Monarch Properties, Inc. in 1992 as a Maintenance Supervisor at a southeast New Mexico property. Four short years later, he was promoted to Property Manager at that affordable community. Johnny quickly advanced to Regional Property Supervisor and relocated to Albuquerque in 2001. He continued to demonstrate his leadership abilities, keeping a high work standard for himself and his teams, and helped Monarch to grow into one the most effective and successful management companies in New Mexico. As Monarch grew, so did Johnny’s role in the company, and he was promoted to Director of Asset Management-the position he currently holds.
Monarch’s 11 Regional Supervisors are trained and regularly guided by Johnny in all aspects of USDA-RD, LIHTC, HUD and other program operations and requirements. The company consistently manage 8,200+ units in 100+ communities, many with overlapping programs, and delivers consistent positive results to 20+ different Owners and their investors. Johnny can be depended on for his professional support, advice and direction provided to all employees on all matters: different program processes, HR/personnel items, physical asset preservation and compliance all characteristics of our multi-family housing industry.
After 3 decades, Johnny is highly regarded for his experience, strong work ethic and proven track record, helping to guide Monarch through many acquisition rehabs, dozens of new on-boarded communities and owners, financial projections and accountability, and the many program inspections by lenders/investors/owners and government entities. Monarch has developed and maintained a sterling reputation, and a great deal of that success.
